Self Build Event at Downing Street

Event Co-ordination & PR

Ted Stevens, who at the time was Chairman of the National Self Build Association, asked me to help him launch the Self Build Association’s new website at an event in Downing Street.  It was decided the event would take the form of a Self Build Masterclass and ‘self builders’ were invited to meet up with the likes of George Clarke, Kevin McCloud, Charlie Luxton, Tom Dyckhoff and Dan Cruickshank to discuss their self build projects once the website had been unveiled.

The Wiggly Worm Charity

“Rob, I’ve got a great idea for a fundraiser – how about an outdoor cinema night!”

The venue  for our first outdoor cinema event was perfect.  The Tuckwell Theatre is a beautiful location.  Organising the license to show the film took a while, but once that was arranged we marched on with promotion and selling tickets. Within 3 weeks we’d sold out!  Thousands of people were made aware of The Wiggly Worm during the promotion of this event through use of social media and editorial in the press and 300 lucky ticket holders joined us in a fabulous evening of Tom Cruise and a trip down memory lane.

“Claire has been a fantastic additional resource to GET supporting us with a variety of activities from a marketing/PR perspective. Claire helped us re-structure and re-develop our website to make it more user friendly and customer focussed. She also planned, organised and supported the case study activities which have been used as part of the website updating but also as stand-alone case studies which we now issue in our information packs and on our internal information TV in reception…

Wearable Art Comes to Painswick

“I recently worked with Claire on a project involving a charity of which I am a trustee.  I found Claire to be incredibly professional, always working in her clients best interest.  She is very bright, with a very good commercial head…and an excellent dose of creativity! Did I mention she is simply fun to do business with?I would welcome the opportunity to work with Claire on future projects.”

Marketing & PR for ACP Charity

Working with the Art Couture team at this year’s Festival in Painswick was just fabulous.  My client was the headline sponsor and as part of the package I was asked to support them with Marketing and PR.

There was a lot to do so I enlisted the help of a young graduate who needed some work during the Summer.  Between us we blogged, wrote and sent out press releases to national and regional press, offered interviews with the judges, sent out direct mail to sixth form colleges and fashion students to invite them to enter and generally spent 4 months working on nothing else.

Live Well at Home

Re-brand, Marketing Strategy, Copywriting, Product Launch, PR & Business Development

I worked with domiciliary care provider, Live Well at Home, for three years.  Initially they called me in to oversee their re-brand.  By the time the company was sold to the Guinness Trust I had become an integral part of the company, in charge of business development and strategy.
