BPE Solicitors has always taken its corporate social responsibility very seriously. Whilst working on their Stroud office launch I came across The Wiggly Worm charity and it’s No Child Hungry Gloucestershire campaign. I just knew that Wiggly and BPE would be a great fit and after talking to Rob Rees, founder of the Charity, an idea started to form.
I’d been charged with the task of organising an event to promote the firm’s opening of a new office in Stroud. Instead of just organising an office launch party, I decided to use this event to raise the profile of The Wiggly Worm’s No Child Hungry Gloucestershire campaign to all BPE’s existing clients and some prospects during an evening of entrepreneurial spirit. I called it A Taste of Innovation.
This theme neatly tied in with BPE’s brand ‘business people brilliant people’, Rob Rees MBE, the founder of the charity is certainly entrepreneurial.
We created an inspiring video for the event as well as an enticing invitation and because the event had local interest and Rob Rees was well known, it attracted a number of excellent prospective clients for BPE as well as raising the charity’s profile amongst some very influential people. BPE are very much on board for supporting No Child Hungry Gloucestershire and we’ll have some exciting fundraising events and activities to report on.
My role: responsible for introducing Wiggly Worm to BPE and creating a number of profile raising, fundraising events. Creative direction of video and stills photography. Raising awareness of both BPE and No Child Hungry campaign via social media using the video and photography, presentation to BPE staff and engaging them in joining Wiggly Worm as volunteers.
